of the American-Austrian Foundation have moved to the virtual plane. In addition, this format has reduced the duration of courses to 3 working days. But still, to get to this seminar, you need to pass a competitive selection of the organizing committee.<\/div><div>\u00a0 Associate Professor of Pathological Anatomy of SSU Medical Institute<strong>\u00a0Roman Moskalenko<\/strong>\u00a0received an individual grant to participate in the seminar &#8220;OPEN MEDICAL INSTITUTE&#8221; of the American-Austrian Foundation during May 18-20, 2021 in the form of a virtual internship.<\/div><div>\u00a0 The change in the format of the Open Medical Institute seminars also increased the number of participants to 50 and covered the countries of Eastern Europe, Central America, Central Asia and Africa.<\/div><div>\u00a0 \u00a0Intensive course of meaningful and modern lectures from leading scientists of the Cleveland Clinic (USA) and Austria, who gave lectures on modern approaches to the diagnosis of gynecological pathology (Karuna Karg), gastrointestinal tract (Anna Bennet), lung disease (Silvana Geleff and Jennifer<\/div><div>Brainard), the genital system (Eva Comperat) and Leonhard Muellauer (Austria) on the molecular diagnosis of lung cancer mutations. Especially relevant was the information from the famous American pathologist and popular lecturer Sandjay Mukhopadhuay about pathological changes in the lungs with COVID-19 and pathology of the respiratory system due to the use of electronic cigarettes. Discussions of clinical cases and discussions between the participants of the seminar with the establishment of the final diagnosis were interesting.<\/div><div>\u00a0 \u00a0Now no one is surprised by distance learning and remote work. As it turned out, the level of perception and quality of the delivered information is sufficient and quite high, in addition, there is a significant saving of time and resources, which shows the effectiveness of virtual courses from an economic point of view.
