Double Celebration of Science at Sumy State University

On the last day of winter 2025, the Approbation Council of the Medical Institute of Sumy State University witnessed two presentations from the Department of Pathological Anatomy, both under the supervision of Prof. Roman MOSKALENKO. Oleksandr VYNNYCHENKO presented his doctoral thesis on “Clinical, Pathological, and Molecular Genetic Predictors of Targeted Therapy Efficacy in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer and HER2-Positive Breast Cancer.” Following him, Anna BUTSYK presented her PhD research on “Efficacy of Polylactic Acid-Based Dressing Materials with Copper Nanoparticles (Experimental Study).” Despite the late hour, the presentations sparked lively discussions over three hours. The council highlighted the continued high-level scientific research at the department and the institute, even during wartime, emphasizing the collaboration between various departments and research groups. The Department of Pathological Anatomy wishes both researchers success in their upcoming defences.
