On December 16, 2025, the Department of Pathology hosted special guests — inquisitive students of Lyceum No. 33.
The doors of the unique museum of macroscopic preparations, known as the “Sumy Kunstkamera”, opened for future applicants.
The tour was conducted by Professor Roman Moskalenko, who transformed dry anatomy into a fascinating narrative about the possibilities and vulnerabilities of the human body.
The schoolchildren witnessed firsthand how organs change under the influence of diseases. This is not just a theory from a textbook, but a real demonstration of the fragility of health. The professor focused in detail on the factors of ecopathology, showing how the environment affects our bodies every day. The strongest impression on the lyceum students was made by the preparations that demonstrated the consequences of bad habits. You can’t find a better anti-tobacco or anti-alcohol advertisement — real pathological changes speak for themselves.
Special attention was paid to the retrospective of the creation and development of the museum, which is a source of pride for our department and the university.
Such meetings help young people not only understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle but also feel the attraction to the noble profession of a doctor.
The Department of Pathology is always open to future colleagues!
