Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy, Professor Roman Moskalenko, received an honorable invitation to
participate as a lecturer at the 20th International Summer School “Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Biomedicine”
(http://biosummerschool.onu.edu.ua/index.php/summerschool2025). This significant event, organized by Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University, brought together leading specialists from around the world.
A notable feature of this year – school was that out of 38 invited lecturers, only four represented Ukrainian institutions, while
the rest of the speakers had international affiliations. This underscores the high level of recognition and relevance of Ukrainian scientific thought on the international stage.
Professor Roman Moskalenko, representing the Academic and Research Medical
Institute of SumDU, delivered a lecture titled «PATHOBIONICS IN DIAGNOSTICS: NEW HORIZONS FOR NON-INVASIVE SCREENING VIA NANOCRYSTALLINE CALCIFICATION ANALYSIS». This presentation was based on the results of many years of
research by his own scientific group, dedicated to rethinking the direction of pathological biomineralization. The presented concept attempted to apply a pathobionic approach to develop new principles for non-invasive diagnostics and screening of various diseases.
The lecture material generated significant interest among the audience – students, young researchers, and fellow scientists – and sparked a lively discussion. This indicates that the lecture`s goal of providing the audience with new knowledge and inspiration was fully achieved.
The Organizing Committee of the 20th International Summer School “Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Biomedicine”; expressed deep gratitude to Professor Roman Moskalenko for his valuable participation. In the thank you letter, signed by Volodymyr Ivanytsia, Vice-Rector
of Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University, it was stated: “Your lecture was an important part of the program, providing our students, young researchers, and fellow scientists with knowledge and inspiration, for which we are deeply grateful”.
The Organizing Committee also emphasized that “It is through the generosity of experts like you that our Summer School continues to thrive
and support the Ukrainian scientific community, even in these challenging times”.
We are sincerely grateful to Professor Roman Moskalenko for his significant contribution to the success of the Summer School and for representing SumDU at such a high international level. We look forward to further achievements and new scientific breakthroughs!
